The management is devoted to the description of various aspects of the organization and implementation of a systemic (holistic) approach to the conduct of elderly patients who have undergone a fracture and includes issues of diagnosis, treatment and prevention of conditions associated with both the fracture itself and with its consequences. The work of a multidisciplinary team consisting of doctors of various specialties is described in detail, but special attention is paid to the work of a nurse. Problems of peri- and postoperative care, osteoporosis and the prevention of repeated fractures, senile asthenia, sarcopenia, fall prevention, rehabilitation after a fracture and many others are highlighted.
