Acupuncture is part of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM)
Acupuncture is the introduction of needles in exactly specific points for therapeutic purposes. Classic acupuncture points lie on the so -called channels. Acupuncture can eliminate functional disorders, including very deep ones, but is not able to restore something completely lost.
Along with the targeted use of cauterization, developed drug therapy is used - drugs of plant, animal and mineral origin, as well as massage, motor exercises, diet, etc.
During the formation of TCM, which includes acupuncture, there were no laboratory research methods that can directly reflect pathophysiological processes, the doctor was forced to rely on the patient’s own organs and subjective impressions of the patient during the diagnosis. Thus, a strictly individual diagnosis was obtained, which led to individual therapy.
The introduction of the needle into the acupuncture points becomes the reason for the movement of the vital energy of qi, which, through the energy network of the body, can restore balance in the human body, remove excess and eliminate the congestion.
Acupuncture most often combines well with other methods of therapy, in particular, with the use of massage, motor therapy, dietity and drug therapy. This book is not a textbook: this is a reference manual for practitioners
