The textbook was prepared in accordance with the program "Anatomy of the Central Nervous System". It considers the issues of general anatomy, development and structure of the spinal cord and brain, the peripheral nervous system, as well as the general principles and features of the structural organization of the autonomous nervous system. When describing the integrative systems of the brain, special attention is paid to the construction of sensory pyramidal tracks, as well as the morphofunctional features of the extrapyramid and limbic systems, in addition, their role in the formation of the human psyche is considered. The textbook includes an anatomical description of the senses that ensure distant interaction with the environment, the issues of blood supply to the brain and spinal cord, the structure of the brain shell and cerebrospinal fluorine sitema as a whole are considered. The presentation of the material is accompanied by traditional and original schemes and drawings that significantly facilitate the perception of the text. The anatomical terms in the manual are given taking into account the recommendations of the International Anatomical Nomenclature, adopted by the International Committee on Anatomical Terminology (FCAT, 1998) The book is tested when lecturing and conducting seminars at the Institute of Psychoanalysis and at the Faculty of Medical Department of the Russian University of Friendship of Peoples.
