Ambulance psychiatric assistance: legal and clinical issues

This work is based on more than thirty years of experience of the author of ambulance psychiatric care. The features of the examination, urgent diagnostics in difficult non -participant conditions, and issues of legal justification of involuntary psychiatric care are considered. Clinical material, evidenceingly determining the medical tactics of an ambulance psychiatrist, is fundamental. The relevance of the publication is determined by insufficient awareness in the specifics of emergency psychiatric care not only a wide range of general practitioners, but also, as reality shows, in many ways of psychiatrists.
