The purpose of this textbook is to create a unified system of training students of medical universities on nutrition and familiarization of practitioners with a modern interpretation of the basics of nutrition.
Today it is generally recognized that food is the reason for the development of 86 nosological forms of diseases, including atherosclerosis, coronary heart disease, type of type II diabetes, liveless fatty fatty liver, obesity, hypertension and other diseases widespread in modern society. At the same time, nutrition in modern higher school is practically not taught, only in one university for the whole country there is an appropriate department. In the structure of the specialties of the Higher Attestation Commission, there is no science of nutrition. The university curriculum provides only the section of dietetics (treatment of patients), although the leading task of healthcare is the prevention of diseases.
The first section of the book gives an idea of the role of nutrition in human health and the main types of pathology due to food. The second part presents nosological forms of infectious diseases in which water and foods serve as carriers of pathogens.
A training manual will be useful to students of medical universities, general practitioners, epidemiologists, infectious media, nutritionists, hygienists, and clinical residents
