The book is a unique systematic work devoted to the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of HIV infection/AIDS, the opposition of which is among the priority tasks of world and domestic health care. The history of the problem, HIV characteristics, the pathogenesis of HIV-infection/AIDS, modern diagnosis and approaches to the treatment of the disease, the evolution of these approaches, data on the high efficiency of modern drugs against the background of minimal side effects are given. Much attention is paid to the spread of HIV, the immunogenetics of stability and sensitivity to HIV infection, the modern strategies of biomedicine HIV prevention are analyzed, the results of medical and sociological analysis of relations in society to HIV-infected people, their sociological characteristics, their readiness for vaccination against HIVs is evaluated -infection. Promising developments in the field of biomedical prevention and complex therapy contribute to the creation of more effective strategies for counteracting the HIV-infection/AIDS epidemic and the subsequent achievement of its control, which is a significant contribution to ensuring the country"s bios safety.
