The training manual consistently covered the issues of anatomy and physiology of the pancreas, etiology, pathogenesis, classification, clinical picture, diagnosis and treatment of acute pancreatitis. Particular attention is paid to determining the severity of the course and forecast of the development of the disease. Modern approaches to treatment are presented taking into account the severity of the course of the disease, features of suppressing the secretory activity of the pancreas and the role of nutritional support in the complex treatment of acute pancreatitis. Attention is paid to the choice of the time for performing minimally invasive interventions regarding unfortunate and infected post-non-structural liquid formations, as well as ways of surgical treatment in the phase of purulent-non-nicrotic complications of acute pancreatitis.
