The book is dedicated to the modern aspects of the microsurgery of vestibular Schvanno. Vestibular diving - benign tumors emanating from the VIII cranial nerve, make up 8-10% of all intracranial tumors and are the most common tumors of the bridge of the bridge angle. The clinical picture depends on the size of the tumor, with small sizes of symptoms may not be at all. As the tumor increases, symptoms appear, depending on what structures the tumor squeezes.
Magnetic resonance imaging, audiometry and vestibular diagnostics are the basis of a clinical examination of patients with vestibular consoles. These neoplasms are usually treated with radiation therapy or microsurgical resection.
The authors demonstrated the results of the microsurgical removal of vestibular Schvanno using new technologies, in particular the Sonopet ultrasonic aspirator, Baer with the LS CE-ChIRP stimulant, flexible portable laser fibers, monopolar stimulation of the facial nerve to localize the position and stroke of the nerve. The book contains retrospective clinical observations of patients operated over the past 8 years.
