A meeting with a person who is pain raises many questions: what distinguishes suffering from pain? How to evaluate the pain when its manifestations are not as strong as the patient tells of them? What to do if the pain covers a person to such an extent that he is experiencing something close to death? And how can you forget about pain thanks to the switching of attention? These and many other issues are considered in the book and are illustrated by the conversation of two doctors who observe patients.
