From the very origin of medicine, ancient doctors tried to compare the symptoms of diseases with the changes that occur in the human body. Gradually accumulating knowledge was summarized in 1761 by the Italian doctor J. Morgany in his six -volume work On the whereabouts and causes of diseases opened by dissection. He also created one of the first anatomical museums in which he collected a collection of uglies, various anomalies and tumors. J. Morgany was the first to try to create a classification of diseases and causes of death, becoming essentially the first pathologist in Europe, and indicated the place of pathological anatomy in clinical medicine. In 1842, the Vienna pathologist K. Rokitansky published the first textbook on pathological anatomy, based on the description of more than a thousand autopsy of the corpses, and put forward the humoral theory of pathology, which existed for several decades. Later, the head of the Department of Berlin University (Sharyit) R. Virchov, using a microscope, created the doctrine of cellular pathology, which denies the humoral theory. Rokitansky, and in 1858 published his classical work Pulpal pathology. Nevertheless, discussions about the place of pathological anatomy in the structure of medical sciences continued until the middle of the 19th century, including in Russia. Surgeons, therapists and anatomists were engaged in “dissection of corpses”, who were convinced that they should study and teach pathological anatomy, because it is an integral part of clinical disciplines
