The book is a "mediation textbook for lawyers", which discusses both the theoretical foundations of mediation (concept, principles, types, models), and practical issues (organization, legal regulation of mediation, conditions, grounds and procedure for contacting the mediator, procedure for conducting the procedure mediations, functions of the mediator, essence, features of the conclusion and execution of a mediative agreement), as well as the problems of judicial mediation, mediation in notarial activities, mediation in the practice of other jurisdictional bodies.
The use of mediation is analyzed in the settlement of disputes arising from family and labor relations, disputes with the participation of consumers. A separate chapter is devoted to the development of the ideas of reconciliation in Russia.
In the applications, a comparative table of mediation models, information on the conciliatory procedure (mediation) for participants in the arbitration and civil process, the project of the memorandum on the application of mediation for resolving legal disputes, proposals for changing the legislation of the Russian Federation, extensive bibliography on mediation are given.
