The proposed monograph presents the main provisions of the theory of bill intermediary services, developed by the author for the first time in the entire period of the existence of modern domestic bill law doctrine. In particular, issues related to the acceptance and payment in the intermediary process are considered, as well as the peculiarities of appointing an intermediary and offering one of the types of bill intermediary services to the bill holder by several intermediaries.
The author also conducts a comparative legal analysis of the norms on bill intermediary services of the domestic Regulations on Transferable and Simple Bills of Exchange of 1937, the Commercial Code of France, the Bills of Exchange Act of 1882 of the United Kingdom, and a number of other foreign bill legislative acts. Special attention is paid to the French legal doctrine, the subject of which is the study of the institution of intermediation in bill law.
The legislation is provided as of November 2017.
This edition is intended for students of law schools, who can use it as a guide for the relevant sections of the bill law course, as well as for postgraduates, scientific and practical workers, and all individuals interested in bill law issues.
