Roman Measuring World is fascinating, intelligent and with a thin humor talks about two geniuses of the Epoch of Enlightenment, Carla Friedrich Gauss and Alexandra von Humboldte, as the typical representatives of the national German nature in all its manifestations. Two of these outstanding person were very different in all respects. And if Humboldt traveled almost the entire globe, then Gauss almost never left his home, but this did not prevent each of them on his manner to be fully examined and ingeniously to measure this imperfect world
