Maxima. Volume 1. Collection of art novellas.

Nine art novellas by different authors and artists, averaging twenty pages each, are united by the theme of space fiction. Although they turned out to be very different. We deliberately did not connect them with a common plot in order to give authors and artists the freedom to do as they please. The stories are about space exploration, colonial fiction, a bit of satire, humor, philosophy, and of course chases, mysteries, and intrigues. The drawing styles of all the stories are also different. There is cozy Soviet science fiction, retro-futurism, and if you look closely, you can even see the influence of manga.

This is a young format in which the text is illustrated with a comic. Imagine that there are more illustrations in the story and they have turned into comics. When on the spread, on the left are frames drawn by the artist, and on the right is a full-fledged story. The comic is much brighter than the text, conveys the plot much more dramatically than a static illustration, and conveys the dynamics of events.
