For the first time in Russian, in a brilliant translation by the well-known Russian-Israeli poet and translator Gali-Dana Zinger, the cult book 'Affairs' (Dvarim, 1966) by the legendary Israeli poetess Yona Wallach (1944-1985) is published in full. The publication is timed to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the original edition of the book, which "remains to this day the most read, quoted, and discussed of all Yona Wallach's books" (N. Zinger). With this book, the phocaBooks publishing house is launching its new poetic series lingua franca, within which masterpieces of world poetry from the 20th and 21st centuries that have not been previously translated or rarely translated into Russian will be published.
