The textbook is aimed at developing students' thinking and creative abilities, forming a solid system of mathematical knowledge, general educational skills, personal qualities, cognitive interest, and a valuable attitude towards education. It is part of a comprehensive educational and methodological complex in mathematics called "Learning to Learn" for preschoolers, elementary, and middle school students (ages 3 to 15). It implements the didactic system of the activity method by L.G. Peterson. Methodological support is provided through developmental aids, workbooks, collections of independent and control tasks, programs, benchmarks, and methodological recommendations. It can be used in all types of schools.
