The textbook is developed in accordance with the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard for General Education, approved by Order of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation No. 286 dated 31.05.2021. The textbook is aimed at developing students' thinking and creative abilities, forming a solid system of mathematical knowledge, general educational skills, developing personal qualities, cognitive interest, and a valuable attitude towards education. It is part of a comprehensive educational and methodological complex in mathematics called "Learning to Learn" for preschoolers, elementary, and middle school students (from 3 to 15 years old). It implements the didactic system of the activity method by L.G. Peterson. It is methodologically supported by developing aids, workbooks, collections of independent and control works, programs, benchmarks, methodological recommendations. It can be used in all types of schools.
