The author of the book is a children"s surgeon. The experience of practical work in various fields of surgery is more than 50 years. Since 1990, he began to use the principles and methods of osteopathic medicine in the practical activity of the hospital, the introduction to the philosophy and practice of which received from the hands of V. Frymen in 1990-1991.
In the theoretical part of the book, an attempt is made to reveal the philosophical foundations of the medical activity of the doctor from the point of view of the osteopath. The doctors of the past were philosophers, this pushed forward science and helped in therapeutic action. The future of medicine - like any science - is impossible without philosophy.
The book provides a description of the manual treatment of children used on the basis of osteopathic medicine of the techniques. Practical advice and illustrations are given.
All chapters of the practical part are written taking into account the author’s own observations in the DGB No. 2 of St. Mary Magdalene. They were repeatedly published at scientific conferences of the Society of Children"s Surgeons, reported on international congresses in Hanover, Berlin. The results of some studies were tested in the defense of dissertations
