Vimala McClour is the founder of the International Association of Early Massage IAIM (International Association of Infant Massage.
In 1973, Vimala worked as a volunteer in the orphanages of India. From India, the idea of massage for kids according to traditional Indian techniques was brought. Vimala studied early children"s massage and its influence on the physiological and psychological development of the child up to 1 year. Having examined the Swedish children"s massage technique, adding ideas from infants, reflexology and yoga (by that time Vimala taught yoga for ten years), Vimala was developing a special program for teaching parents to early children"s massage. Vimala believes that it is maternal massage, children"s massage with the hands of mom and/or dad, gives the child 1 year of life a great incentive to harmonious development.
For many years, Vimala has been conducting training groups with parents, traveling a lot with lectures, and writes books. Subsequently, she begins to prepare instructors in early children"s massage, who teach parents under the program developed by vimala.
Currently, IAIM is non -profit, exempted from taxes, an international organization established in the United States in 1986. Until 1992, the international office was in the United States, and then was transferred to Sweden
