The monograph by A. Koryakovtsev and S. Viskunov is devoted to the development of the concept of “internal” criticism of Marxism. Introducing the concept of rationalistic polyphony and starting from it, the authors send the reader on a long and fascinating journey on the history of philosophical thought. They reveal the prerequisites and the process of ripening dialectical-materialistic thinking, the methodological revolution committed by Marx and Engels, relying on the teachings of Hegel and Feuerbach. In the process of this study, not only what theoretical “bricks” the building of Marxist philosophy was built, but also found where and why it remains unfinished, opening a pretty and fascinating “front of work” for our contemporary. The monograph ends with the sketch of the original theory of an industrialized society in its Soviet and “Western” versions.
