A book for family reading. 50 stories about our amazing pilot who struck fear into the hearts of the German aviation. Even renowned German aces were afraid of him, hearing on the radio 'Achtung! Achtung! Pokryshkin in der Luft!', German planes would turn back, haphazardly dropping their bomb load. Based on the Suvorov's 'science of winning', Pokryshkin developed his own 'science of winning', and on its basis, he raised a whole constellation of ace pilots, among whom were 30 Heroes of the Soviet Union, 6 of them - twice Heroes, his students destroyed over a thousand enemy aircraft. In 1943, in the battle over Kuban, it was the Pokryshkin's pilots who made a decisive contribution to the conquest of air supremacy by our aircraft, which in itself was an important contribution to the final victory over the fascists. Pokryshkin made important innovations in the tactics of aerial combat, and his works helped other ace pilots, including the most successful pilot of the Soviet Union - Ivan Kozhedub, to grow and improve. His methods of training pilots were scaled at the level of the country's Air Force. Pokryshkin had a deep understanding of the structural features of all contemporary aircraft and personally communicated with aircraft designers. In this sense, his personal contribution to the victory over the ruthless enemy is difficult to overestimate, or rather to say, it has not yet been fully appreciated. The book is intended for study in schools as part of patriotic and moral education, for mastering the history course, and for home reading.
