The textbook discusses the models and methods of automatic and optimal control of systems described by ordinary differential equations based on gear ratios, frequency methods, methods of variational calculation, the maximum principle, dynamic programming and method method. The theory is accompanied by numerous examples and programs in the Mathcad system making in the electronic version "live" formulas. Control algorithms are illustrated by examples of control of geostationary satellites orbit.
