A scientific and practical guide, which is a methodological toolkit, is intended for professionals - representatives of the scientific, pedagogical, and library community - who strive to learn themselves and teach others how to live and work in the conditions of a digital educational environment, actively shape their professional and non-professional (digital) competencies, including learning to systematize and apply the growing volume of information in practical activities, and consequently, effectively manage information flows, both personal and organizational (educational institutions, libraries) as a whole. The definition of the concept of 'information flow management' and its main characteristics are given. The functions of specialists in efficient information flow management are disclosed.
