The textbook aims to form a holistic understanding of theoretical approaches to the management of municipal economic development and practical activities of municipalities aimed at developing their economic potential. Economic development is considered as one of the most complex areas in the system of municipal administration, which requires comprehensive coordinated work of various local governments, as well as building constructive relations between various subjects of the local community, coordination of local interests with the human and regional and regional. Special attention is paid to planning, investment policy, public participation mechanisms, as well as other topical issues of the economic development of Russian municipalities in the context of local self-government reform.
