Management: A very brief introduction

The word "Office" ("Governance") meets today everywhere. The World Bank and the International Monetary Fund provide loans on the conditions of proper management. Climate change and avian influenza turn out to be issues of "global management". The European Union issues management reports. Even the US forestry service speaks of the need for the collaboration management ". What is explained by such distribution of the term "management", and what does it mean?
