The publication considers the main stages of the history of Russian and foreign design. This manual incorporated the experience of research, lecture courses and practical classes devoted to the problems of the history of design. Conditionally, the manual can be divided into two parts - the historical stages of Russian design and historical stages of foreign design. Each stage, and their author allocates twelve, carries any important component in itself, whether, for example, the invention of the wheel or the emergence of the concept of Soviet constructivism, in a word, everything that is the starting point for the further round of design development at a new level. PRODUCTION PRODUCTIONS are given, the interpretation of the consumed terms is given.
