The magazine "Friendship of Peoples" is one of the oldest literary and socio -political magazines, founded in 1939 on the initiative of Maxim Gorky, which has now become a general humanitarian symbol and national treasure of Russia and the CIS, a proven means of communication between national cultures united by the Russian language. The main goal of the magazine is to expand the influence of Russian culture and involve new peoples in its space.
The publication reflects the diversity of Russian -speaking literature of Russia and the countries of the near and far abroad, as well as introduces the Russian -speaking audience with translations of selected works from the languages of the former republics of the USSR. At different times, the authors of the Friendship of Peoples were awarded the awards "Big Book", "Russian Bouquer" and "National Bestseller", Belkin Prize, State Prize, Prize Triumph, Nobel and others
