The Royal National Institute for Salvation on Water is a charitable organization founded in 1824 thanks to voluntary donations that are engaged in rescue of lives at sea, forms the rescue service, coastal security teams and offers security training courses. The founder of the Charitable Fund, Sir William Hillary, proclaimed: “If there is courage, there is nothing impossible!” Over the almost 200 years of its existence, Rnli managed to save 142,500 lives.
Against the backdrop of piercing and life -affirming plots, we hear eyewitnesses a detailed story about several most dramatic rescue operations over the past 20 years. We observe the events of the eyes of the rescuers themselves and become witnesses of episodes when these brave people have to make fateful decisions, cope with difficult weather conditions, look for a way out of difficult and truly dangerous situations.
