"Our contemporary" is a journal of writers of Russia. Published in Moscow since 1956.
The main directions: modern prose and patriotic journalism. The most significant achievements of "our contemporary" are associated with the so -called "village prose". Since the beginning of the 70s, the journal has published the works of F. Abramov, V. Astafyev, V. Belov, S. Zalygin, V. Likhonosov, E. Nosov, V. Rasputin, V. Soloukhin, V. Shukshin. The high traditions of the prose of our contemporary "in the 90s continue publications by I. Golovkin, V. Lychutin, Yu. Loshchits, L. Borodin, V. Krupin, A. Likhanov, A. Segenya.
"Our contemporary" is a tribune of the most prominent politicians of the patriotic direction. On his pages, articles by S. Baburin, S. Glazyev, G. Zyuganova, N. Kondratenko, N. Ryzhkova, A. Tuleeva were repeatedly published. Of particular importance for the formation of the worldview position of the magazine was cooperation with Metropolitan John, in particular, the publication of his fundamental labor "Triumph of Orthodoxy".
