200 years ago, in exile in the island of St. Helena, a man died whose military campaigns and administrative reforms radically changed Europe. Saint Elena became the place of death of Napoleon and the birth of the Napoleonic legend. Not only the ex-emperor, but also his enemies took care of this. Napoleon suffered very much on the island of St. Helena from a forced idleness. But it was difficult for him to complain about loneliness. The hardships of links with him were shared by a whole company of close people. Napoleon met death as coldly as enemy nuclei and bullets in numerous battles with enemies. He emphasized that he was dying prematurely, killed by the English oligarchy and her executioner.
