The reader’s attention is proposed to the historical and local history excursion in the era of Peter the Great - the time of great changes and catastrophic upheavals that accompanied the back of the “windows to Europe” and the forced introduction of Russia into the pan -European house. In the center of the book is the first wife of Peter I Evdokia Fyodorovna Lopukhina (1670 - 1731), forcibly expelled from the royal chambers and forced to tonsure in the nun, and her surroundings are people who did not support the Petrine reforms and did not want the losses of the national -cultural identity of Russia.
In the minds of most Russians, thanks to official school history, Peter I looks like an outstanding reformer who laid the foundations of Great Russia, and his contemporaries - small people who do not correspond to the greatness of the emperor and simply interfered with his progressive activity. The book proposed to the reader will allow him to look at Peter and his era differently, will allow him to some extent get rid of the stereotypical perception of history and will help more objectively evaluate the cultural and political heritage of Russia
