There is no big novel in the fourth issue, and this makes it possible to turn around small forms. Alexander Levin, Alexei Zarakhovich, Anton Yarjombek, Dmitry Tonconogovov and Alexander Skidan are introduced to their new verses of readers. The novelty is represented by the cycle of Alexander Kirov "Post of Spirits", the stories of George Davydov, Oleg Ryabov, Vladimir Aristov, Victoria Lebedeva and - for the first time on the pages of a thick literary magazine - "New Russian Tale" of the famous cartoonist Andrei Bilzho.

The debut for the magazine "Oral Speech opens the conversation of Nadezhda Azhgikhina with the Nobel Prize laureate Svetlana Aleksievich. The conversation about modernity and how literature responds to it is continued by the critic Inna Bulkina, an essay on the work of Bakhyt Kenzheev, philologists Oleg Lekmanov (about one of the songs of Boris Grebenshchikov) and Alexander Zholkovsky (about another song, this time Slepakov’s seeds) Ekaterina Ivanova critically returns the most interesting publications in other magazines, Natalia Chernykh, a scientific conference in Smolensk dedicated to Boris Pasternak, acts with the review of the books of the new publishing house, Galina Lyutikova reports, and the reviewers of the “banner” evaluate the new books of Yu. Buida, Z. Alkaeva, L. Sergeeva, D. Orlov, B, Borodina, L. Goralik, L. Manovich, A. Fedyarova, A. Dolinin, G. Smirnova, M. Vishnevetskaya, V. Zelchenko.

And, as always in the magazine, today is shaded by the former. The everyday horror of the Stalinist repression is resurrected by Ivan Shabrov’s memoirs "not to forget this." About the experience and lessons of "Signed" of the 1960s speaks in the article "at the line" Sergey Chupinin. With their memories of the poet Tatyana Bek, whose 70th anniversary we celebrate in April, share Leonid Bakhnov, Natalya Ivanova, Oleg Kling and Ekaterina Orlova. The memory of Vladimir Sharov, another beloved author of "banners", is dedicated to the essay of Boris Belkin" I was lucky. And many, probably, will sigh nostalgically with Vladimir Skrebitsky, telling what “long -playing records” were for all of us
