The fundamental work of the historian and literary critic Lion Borisovich Modzalevsky, recognized authority in the study of the scientific and literary heritage of M.V. Lomonosov, is a doctoral dissertation protected by the author in 1947 at the Institute of Literature (Pushkin House) of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
