The first two decades of the XIX century, passing under the sign of Elegy, which paints with its reflexes or directly subordinates to itself hardly not all the neighboring poetic genres - idyll, song, message, even ODU, two decades of the rule of the "Elegic school" - the epoch of increased dynamism of literary development , diffusion of aesthetic and poetic ideas, far from always receiving theoretical understanding and consolidation. Strictly speaking, the Elek school researcher must include in the sphere of his attention and message, and idyll, and even more so "younger", according to the terminology of Yu.N. Tynyanov, genre education, like a novel or station, but in this work would result in all possible frames, turning into a study of the history of Russian poetry as a whole, and, most likely, would lose their original item. Within this book, the author is forced to be limited only to brief excursions in the area of the history of neighboring genres or even simple references and examples, reducing their number to a minimum. In this work, the author attempts to describe in the historical and literary categories of "Elegic school" 1800-1810s, having considered it through the prism of the dominant genre - Elegy
