Oberit Duvber Levin (1904–1941) published the novel Likhovo in 1934, and more this book, one of the most original in Soviet Jewish literature, was not reprinted. The action of the novel takes place among the poor Jewish weavers in a town with the talking name Likhovo. The book of Doivber Levin is an amazing alloy of avant-garde, expressionist prose with a detailed folklore-ethnographic description of the traditional one.
