Lun Yu — "Selected Conversations", or in the commonly accepted translation "Judgments and Conversations" — is a classic monument that has preserved the philosophical heritage of Confucius and his disciples. Originating in the era of Eastern Zhou (VIII–III centuries BC), it ultimately included conversations of the Master with followers of his school, conversations among the disciples themselves, and characteristics of Confucius given by descendants.
