Lost in Eden

"Lost in Eden" is the latest novel by the popular contemporary Israeli writer Eshkol Nevo, consisting of three parts that initially seem unrelated. In the novella "Death Road," a man who has recently gone through a difficult divorce travels through Bolivia and meets a young married couple, becoming entangled in their strange relationship that quickly leads to an inevitable deadly outcome. In the novella "Family History," an elderly doctor who recently lost his beloved wife finds himself drawn to a young female intern. In the third novella, which gives the novel its title, the husband of the main character disappears forever while walking with her through a fruit plantation. His wife not only has to unravel this mysterious disappearance but also try to preserve what remains of her family...
