The collection publishes materials on a conference dedicated to the "living word" in various fields of culture and creativity. The authors of articles?- Researchers and practices of a living word: linguists, poets, performers and collectors of sound poetry, experts in expressive reading and movement, theater experts, psychologists, musicologists, historians of science. The collection covers a wide range of topics?- from glossolalia and sound poetry to expressive movement and biomechanics of an expressive gesture, from theories of musical and speech intonation to plastic studies in a word, from the performance of the statement to theatrical anthropology and psychology of the actor’s game. Nevertheless, the problems of materials have its own center: the question of what exactly makes the word alive, what turns the frozen, fixed word on paper into an emotional act, personal event, life act and creative experiment
