One of the most significant figures of the Orthodox Church of the 20th century, professor and theologians prot. Alexander Schmeman (1921-1983), the author of several books, the famous "diaries", numerous articles, many years headed the Holy Vladimir seminary in New York, where he read four lectures on the Liturgy of Death and Modern Culture.
