The first edition of the liturgical canons in Greek, Slavic and Russian languages was prepared by Professor of the Greek Language of St. Petersburg Theological Academy by Evgraph Lovyagin and was published in 1855. In the future, the book was reissued twice (in 1861 and 1875) Separately came in 1861: 1) Slavic and Russian translations, and 2) one Russian text. All these books have long become a bibliographic rarity.
This work reproduces the 2nd edition of the "canons" (1861) with new corrections and additions. The book can be an intersee as specialists in liturgical, and everyone who is expensive to Orthodox worship. We hope it will serve as a good help for understanding the liturgical canons and studying their poetic form.
