“Little Women” is the most famous novel of the American writer Louise May Olcott. For the first time published in 1868, he won the love of readers around the world, was translated into more than 50 languages and formed the basis of many films and theatrical productions. The “little women” tells the story of four friendly, unlike each other sisters: romantic meg, e -foster Joe, Tikhoni Beth and wayward Amy. Together with the mother, waiting for the return of the father from the war, the girls go through the difficult path of growing up, on which they meet deprivations and rewards, deadly dangers and disinterested help, false guidelines and real friends. The success of “little women” and “young wives” (the second part published in 1869) surpassed all expectations. Subsequently, Olcott wrote two more novels about little women and men. This tetralogy still remains one of the most striking, surprisingly modern literary works about growing up, friendship, love and fidelity. The real volume included all four novels of the famous tetralogy in the best translations, with fractional comments
