Little Tragedies

Gift edition of Alexander Pushkin's 'Little Tragedies' with engravings by artist Mikhail Belogurov. A student of associate professor of the department of 'Illustration and Printmaking' Sergey Krestovsky, Mikhail Belogurov is a graduate of the Institute of Graphics and Book Art named after V.A. Favorsky at Moscow Polytechnic University, continuing the traditions of the VKhUTEMAS school, where the art of engraving received theoretical and practical justification. The design of the edition as a whole, as well as individual scenes for Pushkin's work, was endowed by Belogurov with heightened expressiveness. The illustrations for the 'Little Tragedies' are done in the technique of engraving on organic glass and linoleum. The edition is adorned with alternating inserts and endings. Each character of the work is presented by the artist as an expressive image with a unique plastic solution.
