In 1997, Eva Foster's daughter, Kelsey, runs away to New Mexico and disappears without a trace. Eva is convinced that she has become a victim of a serial killer who is hunting women in the region. Kelsey's body was never found. Years later, Eva dies, leaving everything to her twin adopted daughters.
