The textbook is prepared in accordance with the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard for General Education, approved by the Order of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation No. 286 dated 31.05.2021. The textbook for the 2nd grade continues to work on developing students' reading competence, motivating them to engage with books. The educational material of the textbook is aimed at forming moral-aesthetic experience and cultivating literary and artistic taste in younger students. The textbook implements an activity-based approach, allowing students to adopt the position of a researcher, learn to understand the specifics of artistic texts, distinguish between folk and authorial works, and recognize the characteristics of different types of art.
