This work reveals and justifies the main provisions of the linguo-methodological approach to the derivational system of the modern Russian language, as well as provides recommendations for their use in the practice of teaching Russian as a foreign language. The introduction highlights the problem of describing Russian word formation for educational purposes, considers the role of studying derivational phenomena in the process of foreign students mastering the Russian language. The first chapter presents the principles of describing word formation for the purpose of teaching Russian as a foreign language. The second chapter is devoted to the examination of units of the derivational system. Finally, the third chapter of the book describes the methodological organization of the derivational system material for the effective acquisition of the vocabulary of the Russian language. The book is intended for teachers of Russian as a foreign language, as well as philologists of various specialties.
