The manual is designed for the second year of study and is intended for gymnasiums, lyceums and schools with a humanitarian profile. It is the second part of the educational complex consisting of five books: Part I-III are intended for 1-3 years of study, part IV - Latin texts, part V - brief grammar Latin language. The complex is designed for mastering for 3-4 years the foundations of Latin, ancient history and culture.

The manual is written with the support of the program "Upgrade of Humanitarian Education in Russia" of the Ministry of Education of Russia, the Committee on Higher Education of Russia, the International Fund "Cultural Initiative" and the International Development Association and the Integration of Educational Systems.
