The concept of a linear space and its basis is introduced, linear operators are considered, and methods for finding eigenvalues and eigenvectors of a linear operator are provided, including information from the theory of single-variable polynomials, such as finding roots of polynomials with integer coefficients, and quadratic forms are discussed. The second part of the course covers operations with vectors, introducing the concepts of scalar, vector, and cross products of vectors and their applications to solving geometric and physical problems. The third part of the course is dedicated to analytical geometry, including various equations of lines in a plane, planes, and lines in space. Second-order curves are examined and their reduction to canonical form is discussed.
