Yuri Lvovich Fitelgolts was born in 1927 in the family of a doctor. He studied at GITIS.
In 1948, as a student, arrested, the verdict - 10 years of camps. The deadline was serving in Ozerlag and on Kolyma. Since 1954 he was in exile in Karaganda.
After rehabilitation, he graduated from the construction institute. He worked as an engineer.
