The book is a translation into the Russian language of the famous personal manuscript of the life of St. Sergius from the sacristy of the Holy Trinity Sergius Lavra, dating back to the end of the 16th century, the phototypic edition of which was published by the publishing department of the Lavra in 2010. The text of the manuscript dates back to the so -called Pachomius edition of the life with small additions from later sources.
