Library of literature ancient Russia. Volume 16. XVII century

The St. Petersburg Publishing Firm Science of the Russian Academy of Sciences produces the book series "Library of Literature of Ancient Russia" in 20 volumes.
In the history of the development of the Old Russian written heritage, this is the first such extensive publishing series. Due to its volume, strict principles of publication of ancient Russian texts, parallel to their translation into modern Russian, comments "Library of Literature of Ancient Russia" presents almost all the wealth of ancient Russian literature. The main attention in the "Library" is given to those works of writing that are created on the lands of Ancient Russia, i.e. The original literature, however, are also contained monuments of translated literature read in Russia: the works of the Byzantine fathers of the Church, liturgical texts from official mines, lives, saints biblical apocryphs, etc.
